EXAMPLE: Digital noise is evident in the bear with color and quality distortion.

Digital noise is a common digital photography term used to describe varying amounts of visual distortion in a photograph. If your images look kind of “grainy” along with minor, and especially major, discoloration you are very likely seeing digital noise.

In extreme cases I’ve had images look green and they’re very unflattering. Digital noise is usually more prevalent in low light situations as well as with using a higher ISO setting.
